A Pennsylvania business owner says a routine lunch break turned into an uncomfortable confrontation after building security questioned whether he belonged inside despite him having an access badge. The encounter escalated when one officer took his badge and another later grabbed his wrist, leaving him demanding, “Please don’t touch me.”
TikTok user Chase, who posts as @Fuglyuggo, says he operates a business inside the building and had a badge allowing him access. According to Chase, security later told him the situation began after a Black man, who Chase emphasized was not him, had used a restroom he apparently wasn’t supposed to use.
In the video, a security officer questions whether Chase is supposed to be inside and asks how he entered the building. “With the badge,” Chase responds, referring to the access badge he says he used to get through the building’s security gate.
The officer continues holding Chase’s badge as the two argue over whether he is allowed in that part of the building. Chase points toward the security gate and repeatedly suggests using the badge there to verify that it works. A second security officer eventually joins the confrontation.
After Chase gets the badge back and attempts to walk away, the second officer stops him. “Please don’t touch me!” Chase says as the video shows the officer holding his wrist.
The officers continue talking about building “rules,” while Chase holds up his badge and responds, “These are the rules.” He is eventually allowed to leave.
Viewers Question Security’s Response
Viewers largely questioned why the encounter escalated after Chase showed that he had an access badge.
“They both need to be fired why are they grabbing him?” one viewer wrote.
Another focused on the first officer’s demeanor during the confrontation, writing, “The guy was physically shaking like he was on a power trip.”
Others questioned why security didn’t simply verify Chase’s badge and determine where it allowed him to go before the confrontation escalated.
One viewer suggested Chase press charges, adding, “They grabbed you (which if is an unwanted touch/grab is technically assault) so you can press charges and I’d definitely turn it into the news. The guy was physically shaking like he was on a power trip.”
Chase later shared an update in the comments, claiming the original security officer was required to apologize to the business after the confrontation. Chase wasn’t particularly satisfied with the outcome, describing it as a “half-assed apology” that he said he had to request.
He also suggested he was frustrated by what happened afterward, writing that he felt like he was “supposed to act like it never happened.”
