An Idaho couple was filmed berating restaurant employees before the woman began throwing food at them, with the confrontation later taking a racist turn.
A restaurant employee recorded the incident, capturing the couple arguing with other staff members in the background. The confrontation appeared to stem from the couple’s dissatisfaction with their food.
The woman could be heard telling the employees, “That’s not how you serve food.” She then began speaking disrespectfully to them, saying, “shut your mouth.” After repeating the demand, she said she wanted her money back. Her partner also complained about the food, asking, “what’s that garbage.”
The man echoed his partner’s demand for a refund, while the woman claimed they had not even eaten the food. “Your food is horrible, dude,” the man said. He added that they had traveled throughout Asia and knew what Asian food was like. The woman then complained that the food was “soggy.”
After the exchange, the situation escalated when a sound resembling a hit was heard. The noise prompted the employee filming to turn the camera toward the couple and capture their actions. Another employee reacted in disbelief, saying, “Oh my gosh.”
Once the camera focused on the couple, the woman began throwing food at the employees. One employee told them they needed to leave, but the woman ignored the demand, grabbed more food, and threw it at them again.
As the couple finally began leaving, the confrontation took a racist turn. The man said, “That’s what happens when you have a bunch of Mexicans,” repeating the remark twice. Their behavior prompted another employee to tell them to leave and escort them out of the restaurant.
“Don’t ever come back,” one employee said. Another reacted in disbelief, asking, “Who does that?” The video ended with the staff cleaning up the mess the couple had left behind. Later, the restaurant reportedly pressed charges against them.
According to an article by Local News 8, the woman was “charged with misdemeanor assault and battery, while the man was issued a citation for disturbing the peace.” The couple was scheduled to appear in court on November 19.
