Michaels is a one-stop shop for art and crafting supplies, and everyone’s favorite place to be. Apparently, you can even throw birthday parties! One Pennsylvania man recently booked a party at Michaels, but not for any kids of his. Instead, this was for his ‘goodest’ boy!
The creator behind Roodabeguh on TikTok, decided he’d throw an awesome birthday party for his pug, Roo. In his TikTok video, he arrives outside Michaels, with a quick wholesome greeting with an old man outside, before speaking with the manager. From there they get the party started, with an obviously excited pug. But more importantly, the staff are ecstatic over Roo!
When the manager is walking with them back to the party room, Roo gets lots of head scratches. And, in typical pug fashion, he’s panting heavily. When the manager walks into the room, he announces to the employee in charge of the birthday room, “So this is our birthday guest!” There is even a board in the background with “Happy birthday Roodabeguh!” written in chalk.
The manager asks them, “Can I take a picture and send it to my district?” and gets his very own one-on-one photo with the birthday boy. Roo’s owner tells the manager, “You have to hold him by his butt, though.” His owner gives Roo a drink out of his very own water bottle, fun decorations, and Roo’s own paint session. By the end, the birthday boy got all sorts of attention and pats!
It’s not just that Roo is a good boy and it’s cute seeing a dog have their own birthday party, but it’s people just love that the owner is taking good care of him. Not to mention his adorable shirt!
People Were Falling Head Over Heels For Roo
Due to the attention the video got, Michaels themselves commented on Roo’s birthday video, “I’m LOCKED IN.” They were clearly just as locked in as their employees—the joy on their faces when they realized it was a pug. What was also particularly shocking in the comments was how many people thirsted after the manager, Brett.
One commenter even hilariously stated, “I have 3 pugs and can confirm holding the butt is critically important.” When asked in the comments, Roo’s owner also confirmed, stating that Roo would start “flailing.” Pugs are pretty squirmy, too.
“Wait a minute… they pet him for the free??” one commenter wrote. Whether it’s because Roo’s owner technically paid for the event is true, anyone would pet a pug for free.
According to Roo’s owner, the staff at Michaels weren’t even aware that Roo wasn’t human. How often do people book birthday parties at Michaels for their dogs, let alone know Michaels has birthday party events?
