A new video shows what appears to be residents of Kansas City, Missouri, standing up to ICE agents from the Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) division in an effort to prevent what was described as a “warrantless arrest.” The incident took place in an undisclosed residential area of the city, and the target’s name was not revealed in the video.

The footage was originally posted on Reddit and has since drawn hundreds of upvotes, along with numerous comments praising the locals for helping their neighbors.

The short clip shows locals’ response after they allegedly saw ERO agents attempting to detain a man inside a car. The car can be seen surrounded by vehicles belonging to locals, who appear to be yelling at the agents and recording them on their phones. The person filming briefly speaks to an ICE agent, asking for a warrant. While the agent claims to have one, it is not shown on camera.

It is unclear, however, whether the person targeted by the agents was ultimately detained after the video ends.

Y’all are the best neighbors ever,” one user wrote. Another added, “I love everybody who stood up to these thugs. Every one of you makes me proud of this city.”

Others echoed the sentiment, saying, “Block them in, yell at them, shut them down. This is the way.” Some folks even commemorated that “Americans standing up for their neighbors.”

The incident quickly gained attention on subreddits such as r/EyesOnICE due to the controversial nature of ICE operations. Since early 2026, there have been numerous reports of people in various regions standing up to ICE agents, particularly when they believe these operations are violent or unfair.
