Pennsylvania Man’s Jaw Drops After He Finds Out Where He Got His Name: ‘He’s Crashing Out’

What character did he want to be named after?

The television show South Park has only continued to grow in popularity since its pilot aired back in August of 1997. Since then, the show has run for more than double-digit seasons and has a cult following that trumps many other adult cartoons. Although this Pennsylvania man may be thinking differently about the show after his mother dropped a pretty big bombshell on him. In a TikTok posted to the account @vanessa-p-44, this man finds out he was named after a character from this show.

Who’s your favorite @South Park character? The second my mother in law (who everyone thinks hates me because we’re an age gap marriage 😂) tells my #husband he’s named after a character on #southpark and he was not having it 😂 #funny #fyp #agegap @kpifer_Z71

The TikTok starts with the news already reaching Kyle, who looks very surprised. The man’s mother can then be heard saying that it was the only name “Dad and I could agree on.” The Pennsylvania man then looks around the room for a bit as he is most likely processing the information. The man’s mother then says they were “Big into watching South Park,” and that her and her husband’s favorite character was Kyle. Another disagreement then begins over who the best character in the show is, with the man and his girlfriend saying it’s Kenny and Cartman.

TikTok Reacts to This Pennsylvania Man and How He Got His Name

The TikTok comments were loving every second of this as it went down. They even left plenty of jokes and opinions of their own. “They should have named him Butters,” joke done. “Kyle is the most level-headed character,” wrote another. One other commentator said this makes them feel “Way too old.” Finally, one other stated, “He’s crashing out.”

As the Pennsylvania mother continues to explain her reasoning, it’s clear the man is a little disappointed. However, it would appear that the rest of his family members find this extremely hilarious. Unfortunately for Kyle, he was named after a cartoon character, but things could have been much worse. They could have actually named him after Butters, after all.

As this Pennsylvania man continues to hear new information regarding his name, he is also seen drinking an alcoholic beverage. After his family is done telling their story, he can also be heard saying, “I need two more of these.” At the end of the day, it is unfortunately impossible to know whether that’s the real story. If this is true, at least Kyle has a funny story to tell for life. As for his parents, maybe we can try a little harder when naming a child next time.
