Pennsylvania UPS Worker Cops Major Attitude With Home Resident Because She Didn’t Hear Her Doorbell: ‘All Of This Is Crazy’

They’re both doing too much

Delivering packages can’t be the easiest of jobs. It involves tons of driving, ensuring that the packages get to their correct locations, battling the weather, and heavy lifting. On occasion, delivery drivers also have to deal with customers, and one Pennsylvania UPS driver didn’t seem to pass the customer service test while she was out on a recent route. And her attitude struck a nerve with the residents of the home where she was dropping off a box.

In a TikTok video published by @destinysimone6, a houseful of Pennsylvania residents got more than they expected when a UPS driver pulled up to their home to deliver a standard-size package. The driver is seen on the security camera waiting at the house to see if anyone will answer the door. When nobody answers, she turns to head back to her truck.

However, after getting only a few steps away, she hears people talking and turns back around. When she sees that the residents of the house are home, she’s seemingly annoyed about the family not answering the door initially.

“Does your doorbell not work?” she asks a woman who lives in the home. The customer then explains that she and her large family were all talking amongst themselves and didn’t hear the doorbell through all of the chatter. “Okay,” the driver says with an irritated tone that the resident quickly picks up on.

“Do you have an attitude or something?” she asks the driver. “No, do you?” the UPS employee fires back. “I rang the bell twice,” she adds. When the woman again tries to tell her that they didn’t hear the doorbell, she dismisses her, saying, “Okay. Well do you want your package? Just sign, please,” she continues.

The resident then asks if the driver has a manager or supervisor that she can talk to, and the UPS employee tells her that if she has a problem, she’s welcome to call the company. The driver then begins to walk back to her truck when she hears the woman call her “rude,” and then she spins around and walks to the house yet again to defend herself, claiming it was the resident who was the rude one.

The two women go back and forth for a moment, before the driver finally says, “Shut up,” and climbs inside her truck. The family gets the identifying number from the driver’s vehicle before the video cuts off.

Meanwhile, the TikTok comment section was torn about who was to blame for the confrontation. Many blamed the driver for not having better customer service and creating an issue. However, others believe it was the resident who was to blame for the incident.

“I’m on the driver side. Whoever is speaking, should’ve came out with a better attitude,” one person wrote. “Girl get the package & go in the house,” said another. “UPS started the attitude and the customer met that attitude as she has the right to,” a third person stated. “Delivery driver 1000% wrong,” a fourth comment read. “All of this is crazy,” a final person announced.

It looks like this Pennsylvania UPS driver may not be winning a customer service award anytime soon. However, the silliness of the argument and the way it continued to go on and on is the most ridiculous part of the whole video.
