A woman in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, was dining with her date at a local Olive Garden when the man in question decided to leave. Fortunately, the restaurant covered part of the bill, and the clip garnered hundreds of thousands of likes and generated many debates.

And to top it off he was so odd and rude to the server from the beginning. Thank you Olive Garden for not making me pay for his food and my server being so sweet and another one for walking me to my car. What a Sunday night #stoodup #feverdream #fyp #datingishard

The tragic date was shared on TikTok by Lila Champan. She explained to her followers that she had gone on a first date with an unnamed man at an Olive Garden. However, at one point during the date, the fellow excused himself, saying he had to use the bathroom.

Despite his claim, the Pennsylvania woman was shocked when she saw her date leave the restaurant through the front door, without caring whether she witnessed the very obvious lack of class and manners.

This, of course, left Lila traumatized. She added, “I never thought this happened in real life.” Unfortunately for her, it did. She was left sitting on a table with multiple dishes still on top of it, left unfinished. Lila wrote, “What a Sunday night.”

Despite the terrible experience, she was ultimately treated with kindness and generosity in multiple ways. On one hand, Olive Garden servers were sweet to her and even walked her to her car. On the other hand, the restaurant paid for her date’s food, so she only had to cover her own expenses.

Olive Garden even commented on her video, saying, “You’ll always get nothing but Never-Ending love from us.” Many praised the restaurant’s generosity, calling it their favorite chain.

Wearing A Hoodie To A Date

However, many others criticized the woman’s choice of attire. She was wearing a hoodie to her first date, which many interpreted as if she didn’t care.

“First date wearing a hoodie??? What did he have on??” one user commented. Another one asked, “Why’d you wear a hoodie on a first date to Olive Garden?” A third one wrote, “There ain’t no way you showed up in a hoodie.”

However, many others were critical of the critics themselves, saying that, after all, they were dining at an Olive Garden and not at a Michelin restaurant. Lila herself explained it in another comment, saying that the date was “last minute and super casual.”

Regardless of what she wore on a date, leaving unexpectedly is another level of cowardice. Thankfully, it appears that the Olive Garden’s cameras recorded the Pennsylvania man leaving the restaurant. After all, he might be held accountable for leaving without paying.
