Fans of Netflix’s Perfect Match have reacted to Savannah and Francesca’s feud. When Netflix announced its plans to bring known faces from some of its most popular shows for an all-new dating series Perfect Match, many fans knew they were in for one hell of a ride. The series premiered on February 14 with the release of the first four episodes, and there has already been so much drama. One of the biggest talking points from the four episodes was the feud between Francesca Farago and Savannah Palacio over their co-star Dom Gabriel. Savannah had shown an interest in Dom in episode 1, but Francesca was able to beat her to the punch and went on to form a strong partnership with him. Savannah, on her part, paired with Nick Uhlenhuth.
Unfortunately, Savannah’s romance with Nick was short-lived, and she quickly cast her gaze on Dom again. Even though he was attached to Francesca, Savannah told him she would like to explore a relationship with him. Savannah’s advances did not sit well with Francesca, who confronted Savannah for trying to come between her and Dom. Savannah would later get evicted that evening, and the whole saga generated reactions from the show’s fans.
Savannah and Francesca Are Both Wrong
After the series premiered on February 14, Savannah took to her Instagram page to share a cryptic post that got her fans flooding her comments section with words of encouragement. In the Instagram post, Savannah shared pictures of her wearing a pink suit. However, what she wrote in the caption caught the eye of many. She wrote:
“all I do is match energy. whatever I did was because of you.”
Most of her followers believed she was referencing her clash with Francesca, and they quickly took to her comments section to show support for her time on the show. Meanwhile, while Savannah seems to be content carrying on like the victim of the altercation with Francesca, the show’s viewers are adamant that both girls were wrong.
Viewers took to Reddit to air their thoughts about the feud between the ladies. Most of them did not spare Savannah as they tore into her over her antics on the show. They accused her of being shady and trying to sabotage other people’s relationships after failing to form any connections with anyone. Another user slammed Savannah for giving Nick a hard time after he ditched her to match with Ines Tazi. Nick had tried to take his relationship with Savannah beyond game partners, but she refused, so many viewers felt she had only herself to blame for finding herself alone.
Savannah’s Gameplan Backfired
The original poster of the Reddit thread analyzed how Savannah had been working on a strategy from episode 1. The OP claimed she intended to ride Nick to the finish line without forming any real connection with him or the other men. However, her plan backfired when Nick decided to match with Ines. Before that, Nick had tried to get more serious with her, but she refused his advances.
The OP also pointed out how Savannah had a chance to bring in another man for herself in episode 1 but opted to play strategy by trying to break up another pair and staying with Nick. Many fans agreed with the OP and felt Savannah lost the plot when her game plan backfired. They thought she focused too much on gameplay, leaving her without a match.
Another group of Perfect Match fans highlighted Savannah’s mean behavior, especially towards Francesca. They claimed she was out of line with how she called Francesca names throughout episodes 1 and 2. Savannah played herself out of the game with some of her decisions. However, she can at least take solace from being somewhat right about Francesca’s feelings towards Dom.
