Persona 3 Reload DLC Announcement Comes With Tragic FeMC Confirmation

The recent announcement of the Episode Aigis DLC for Persona 3 Reload was quickly followed by some unfortunate information from a reputed Atlus leaker that the fan-favorite female main character (or FeMC) from Persona 3 Portable will never be added to the remake. Episode Aigis, which will contain all of the bonus story content from what was originally Persona 3 FES, will reportedly be the only DLC addition to the latest entry to the popular Atlus JRPG series.

The confirmation that FeMC, AKA Kotone, won’t be implemented into Persona 3 Reload came via the Twitter/X account of Midori very shortly after the official Atlus announcement of Episode Aigis. Midori is a well-known and respected Atlus/Megaten leaker within the community who has accurately supplied early information about Persona 3 Reload numerous times in the past, including the early info that Episode Aigis was coming, along with early information about other titles like Persona 5 Tactica as well.

Midori writes that Atlus is choosing to keep Kotone exclusive to Persona 3 Portable which was ported to PC and current-gen consoles within a year of the release of Persona 3 Reload. It does make sense that the developer wouldn’t want to immediately antiquate that port by effectively transferring all of its content to the new remake. Players who are curious about FeMC and the original Persona 3 experience (One of them, at least, since there were so many different versions back in the day) can still have both while having the new experience, alongside Episode Aigis, in Persona 3 Reload.
