Any business owner is allowed to decide the kind of service they want to offer to people. When it comes to female waxers, they are allowed to do what they are comfortable with doing. Customers should respect that, but this didn’t happen when a perverted Florida man started annoying a waxer. He went inside her spa under the pretense of wanting a leg wax which she does offer. Instead of doing what he came for, he started asking her how much a manzilian was and she made it clear that she doesn’t do this. He then tried to argue and say she does Brazilians as if this should be a reason for her to do what he wants. They aren’t the same thing. “I just don’t feel comfortable offering that,” she told him.
The Florida man’s words started getting more creepy as he kept annoying the waxer to get her to do a manzilian. He was telling her “I need you down there. It’s kind of crazy down there. I need you. I feel comfortable with you down there” This is definitely something sexual for him. Mind you, this is the first time he went into this spa so how exactly does he feel comfortable with the waxer? She made it clear once again that she didn’t feel comfortable with it, but he didn’t stop. He then repeated the need part before offering to pay her anything. “I don’t want your money,” she told him and yet he didn’t stop. The video ends before you can know if she kicked him out or not. She did, however, leave her thoughts on the situation as she wrote:
“Of course I’d do a manzilian but it’s situations like this where men decide to approach us women waxers, and think they can sexualize us for pleasure. This is a professional business not a free hand job.”
People Reacting to the Creepy Florida Man
Almost everyone who saw the video was outraged by how the Florida man was behaving. Many believed that he only wanted the manzilian because he saw it as something sexual. This made one person write, “Show. HIS. FACE.” Another person wondered why these kinds of men don’t go to places where they offer something like this. “Why can’t they just go to those happy ending massage parlours,” they wrote. This made someone respond and say, “Because his disgusting-self is enjoying making her uncomfortable.” Another person agreed and wrote, “It’s about forcing her into an uncomfortable situation.” He definitely didn’t stop asking despite her making it clear that she was uncomfortable. Other women who are in the waxing business shared their own stories with creeps as one woman said, “My salon does not service men. They used to but a few ladies had issues with men once they were alone.”
More women were disturbed by the Florida man’s words as one said, “When are they going to learn that NO is a full sentence.” Another woman found what he was saying to be insane. “It’s the repeated ‘I need you down there’ that’s wild to me. Who feels comfort saying this to a stranger?!” she asked. There were some men who were just as disgusting as the Florida man. “This feels sexist actually, aren’t you legally obligated to serve everybody? You can’t not do something based on gender, that’s discrimination?” one of them said. She isn’t forced to do anything she doesn’t want to do. It was clear that the guy wanted a manzilian only for his sexual pleasure. No woman should be forced to do something she is uncomfortable with. If he really wanted a manzilian, he could have found a male waxer.
