In Kinetic Games’ psychological thriller, Phasmophobia, you have access to loads of tools to help you get through the game. One of these tools in the Crucifix. You can purchase the Crucifix to help you detect certain types of ghosts as you venture through Phasmophobia’s maps. Though, using the Crucifix isn’t something that’s explained very well in the game. But that doesn’t change the fact that it can be a very valuable tool for you to use! Keep reading below to learn how to use the Crucifix in Phasmophobia, how to purchase it, and what sort of ghosts you can get with it!

“A Crucifix is used to stop Ghosts from entering their physical form to attack you. It’s advised to place them near the Ghost.” – Kinetic Games

How to Buy the Crucifix in Phasmophobia

To buy the crucifix in Phasmophobia, you must collect money by completing ghost hunts, optional objectives, and daily objectives. Once you’ve collected a bit of cash, now it’s time to visit the shop. This can be done from your main menu or in the lobby. Look for the “BUY” button to pull up a list of items you can purchase. Look through the list and locate the Crucifix, which will be listed for $30.

How to Use the Crucifix in Phasmophobia

A Crucifix is actually really easy to use in Phasmophobia. Ideally, all you would really have to do is put it in a room, and it will protect you from hunts. Each Crucifix that you buy will have two charges. These charges are used up whenever a ghost tries to hunt in the room within 3 meters of where the Crucifix is placed in Phasmophobia. However little it does, the Crucifix is still a really helpful Phasmophobia tool. It can be set down, put on a wall, or even just held in your hand.

Even though there is only one main use for the Crucifix, there are other helpful perks to using this tool. Read about them below:

  • If the ghost is a Banshee, your Crucifix will work in a 5 meter range.
  • Your Crucifix can stop hunts through solid objects like furniture or walls, as long as the ghost is within range of the tool.
  • Cursed hunts that are initiated by cursed object can’t be stopped by the Crucifix.
  • You can only be protected from hunts as long as the Phasmophobia Crucifix is not in your inventory. Whether it is in your hand, on the wall, or on a random table you came across, it will still work.
  • You can move a Crucifix if you put it in a spot that isn’t working so well. As long as it still has charges, it will do its job in any place you put it.

Hurry and get yourself a Phasmophobia Crucifix from the shop before you next Ghost hunt and save yourself some time and headache!

Writing about games truly gives her joy as it gives her another perspective to look at games from, a reason to really look into the mechanics of the game.
