Philadelphia Pedestrian Steals Sign From Recording Studio and Drags It Away Through Several Blocks, ‘Bro Just Let the Intrusive Thoughts Win’

What did the sign do to you?

In today’s episode of “Things That Shouldn’t Happen in the City at All,” we have a man stealing a sign from a recording studio in Philadelphia and then dragging it across several streets. It may sound like a fever dream or too wild to be true, but yes, it happened. This event was recorded by the victim whose sign got taken away by a man. In the video, we can observe the man dragging the sign away through several streets. Fortunately, the whole city came together to help the owner find their sign. Still, it was strange that this happened in the first place.

Anybody know this douchenozzle or find my sign somewhere??

The post comes from user Low_Swing_7274, who shared the footage on the r/philadelphia subreddit. In it, we can see a man wearing a jersey with the number 55 grabbing the sign and just walking away with it. This happens in several streets, and while a few bystanders notice the strange event, they let the man go on with his business.

According to the OP, the sign is from The Boom Room, a recording studio in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. In the post, the one who shared it said the following:

“Anybody recognize this douchenozzle that stole The Boom Room’s A-frame sign. Also has anyone seen my sign laying around somewhere in the street? We are a small business and to drop like another $350 on a new sign and printing is a lot right now.”

Luckily, many people responded quickly to this and helped the owner find their sign, or so it seems.

“Don’t know him but saw him and where he last left the sign – Mascher or Howard between Girard and Thompson. A few blocks up as I was behind him he tried to pick a fight with a group standing on a corner and kept yelling as he was going towards Girard.” – TonyPitzacada via Reddit.

It is uncertain if the sign’s owner was able to retrieve it, but a lot of people were helpful in giving details on the culprit. Others, however, noticed how the man might’ve been intoxicated or worse.

“Definitely signs of intoxication. I’ve been this guy before a long long time ago. Hope op gets their sign back.” – Zodiac_Manny via Reddit.

“bro just let the intrusive thoughts win fr.” – Otherwise_Lyche_33 via Reddit.

Ultimately, it’s alarming to see people doing these things in public. This time, it was only a sign. But what about later? As many say, if the man was intoxicated, at least he wasn’t driving. Otherwise, it would’ve been an even greater danger to those in the city.
