Blue Phrase
When you get to the boss, it will be hanging from the ceiling. Go to him, and throw as many Red Pikmin as you can. Groovy Long Legs will then land on its feet in Blue. You can use any color you want in this phase. Be careful not to get under the boss’s feet during this process. When the boss starts bobbing up and down, move away from the boss with all your Pikmin.
This is because when the boss starts this move, it will spew purple smoke. If you are exposed to this smoke, you will lose control of your Pikmin until Groovy Long Legs turn Blue color again.
Yellow Phrase
When Groovy Long Legs in Pikmin 4 turns Yellow, start throwing your yellow Pikmin. It will occasionally try to damage you by spinning itself around.
