In a Twitter post late Thursday, Sony’s President of Worldwide Studios Shuhei Yoshida came right out and posted that Remote Play for PC and Mac is in the works.
Some people asked if we plan to provide Remote Play function to PC, and yes, we are indeed working on an official application for PC/Mac. :D

Since it’s just a brief Twitter post, there is no further information such as a release date or any deeper application details. This will now expand the capability of the PS4 and Vita hand-hold on Remote Play. Sony has previously said they will not be creating a PS Vita successor, so the expansion to PC and Mac OSX may be a sign of the company’s less popular handheld.
The move will place Sony and the PS4 slightly ahead of the competition, as the XBOX One currently allows Windows 10 users to play games remotely on a PC. It also comes literally hours after an unofficial app was released for PC, opening up the system to allow PS4 players to play on their systems remotely. Twisted’s unofficial application will charge $10, currently a Remote Play connection is just limited by your own internet bandwidth and connection at no extra cost. Maybe his or her’s app got Sony on their toes, or forced them to say something about their plans? Either way, here’s hoping the plan works well and is just as smooth as I’ve heard the XBOX-PC connection is.
