It feels as if we have been waiting a lifetime for the PlayStation 5. Since its official announcement various rumors, leaks and tidbits of information have been fed down to ravenous fans.
Recently we were treated to a first proper look at the new control pad, the DualSense, but despite a good look at the new Xbox Sony have yet to show fans the actual design of the console or any footage of the games. That could all be about to change.
Today Sony has announced an official date for the rumored PS5 reveal. In a teaser trailer, they have announced that a PS5 event will be held next week. June 4th at 1 p.m PST to be precise. Take a look at the announcement trailer below and let the hype begin:
Dubbed “The future of gaming” the trailer doesn’t actually give anything away. It does, however, give us a nice close up of the PS5’s new controller and even though the pad has been dividing fan opinion I think it looks glorious.
Sony hasn’t actually announced anything other than the fact the event is happening. It was a badly kept secret at best and it seems almost certain that we will get to see the final design of the console. Hopefully, they will show some game footage as well.
I just can’t wait anymore, I’m in full fanboy mode. Disclosure: I like the Xbox too before you attack me.
The PlayStation 5 event will be live-streamed and you can be sure we will be watching it attentively and bringing you all the news as it drops. Hopefully, we’ll be very busy.
Let us know your thoughts in the comments and just for fun, let us know which of the next generation of consoles you’ll be buying and why.
The future is almost upon us.
