At today’s PlayStation State of Play, the PlayStation team showcased four different titles on their way to the PSVR 2. These titles are all quite large, with two of the four being exclusive to VR platforms. Read on below to see all four that were announced!
Resident Evil Village Steps Into the World of VR
Fans of Resident Evil Village rejoice! The latest installment in the critically acclaimed horror franchise is coming to PSVR 2. Step into the iconic village as main man Ethan Winters, as he takes on the denizens of Castle Dimitrescu and works to save his daughter from the clutches of the evil Mother Miranda. With the prospect of VR, wield all weapons at your disposal as you take on everything from small, zombie-esque creatures to full-on Lycan beasts in your quest to save the girl you love. Resident Evil Village VR currently has no release date but is confirmed for PSVR 2 currently.
The Walking Dead: Saints and Sinners Chapter 2 Brings Zombie Slaying Goodness to PSVR 2
The beloved VR title The Walking Dead: Saints and Sinners continues its path with Chapter 2: Retribution! The title looks to keep much of what fans loved about the original while using VR’s more developed capabilities to deliver an experience well worth playing. Plus, Debra Wilson (best known as the voice of Destiny 2’s Savathun) hosts the apparent role of the game’s main villain. What more could you ask for really? The Walking Dead: Saints and Sinners Chapter 2 is set to come to PSVR 2 (and presumably other VR headsets) later in 2022.
No Man’s Sky Soars Onto PlayStation’s PSVR 2
If you’ve ever wanted to explore the outer reaches of space in the goggles of the pilot behind a spacecraft, then look no further. The comeback extraordinaire No Man’s Sky is gearing up to make its debut on VR platforms. Featuring massively expansive worlds, a gigantic universe to explore, plenty to do, and more, you’re sure to find no end to boredom. VR only enhances this, letting you experience the sheer scale of the game’s universe firsthand. No Man’s Sky VR currently has no release date, but you can be sure to see the game on PSVR 2 and most other headsets.
Horizon Continues its Excellent Story in Call of the Mountain
Hot off the heels of the release of Horizon: Forbidden West earlier this year, Horizon: Call of the Mountain seeks to bring a whole new perspective to this ruined world being recolonized by the human race. While featuring Aloy along with plenty of other fan-favorite characters, this experience will bring new faces into the fold and tell a new character’s story right from the get-go. If this sounds like your sort of thing, Horizon: Call of the Mountain is set to arrive some point soon, exclusively to the PSVR 2 headset.
