This article is over 4 years old and may contain outdated information.

It’s still not on par with the overflowing gaming buffet that’s Xbox Game Pass, but PlayStation Now certainly scores points with a staked roster of new additions heading to the subscription service this month. As Sony announced today, none other than yeehaw-ing open-world cow wrangler adventure Red Dead Redemption 2, mythic father-come-good GOTY God of War, and the devilishly challenging Nioh 2, and a batch of lesser-known titles form the PlayStation Now July games haul.

Any self-respecting PlayStation owner should have played God of War by now (it was in circulation on PlayStation Now previously, too), and if you’ve yet to play Red Dead 2, then we’d question your gaming credentials, but not bad, Sony, not bad at all. As for Nioh 2, over the Sony for a brief description:

Master the lethal arts of the samurai as a mysterious half-human, half-supernatural Yokai warrior, in this challenging action RPG sequel. Explore violent Sengoku-era Japan and the deadly Dark Realm, both plagued with grotesque, merciless demons. Unsheathe your deadly weapons and cut down all enemies in your path using a revamped combat system and the ability to transform into a full Yokai to unleash devastating paranormal powers.”

Other PlayStation Now July Games

As for the other PlayStation Now July Games, we’re looking at quirky physic-based house-moving madness sim Moving Out, Judgment from the folks behind the stellar Yakuza series, the official video game companion to the delayed Olympic Games Tokyo 2020, and Americana-infused stock car racing sim Nascar Heat 5.

Reading through the fine print, all the games are available to PlayStation Now subscribers from tomorrow, July 6, 2021. Red Dead Redemption 2 is set to leave the service on November 1, 2021, and is exclusively playable via PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 download – so no streaming this one. Subscribers can sample Judgement until October 4, 2021, presumably to tempt a purchase of the upcoming sequel Lost Judgment, set for release on September 24, 2021.
