Anyone who is subscribed to the highest tier of PlayStation Plus, aka Premium, is allowed to access new releases without having to spend any more money. Known as PlayStation Trials, this feature was previously mostly limited to first-party titles. But now, PS Plus Premium subscribers can access the immaculate Baldur’s Gate 3 as a trial.

If you have been thinking about getting the game but weren’t certain if it was your cup of tea or not, now is your chance to give it a shot before pulling the trigger. But you will need to have a PS Plus Premium subscription and a PlayStation 5 to do so.

The PlayStation Trial system allows subscribers to experience a game for a total of two hours. Although Baldur’s Gate 3 is such a massive game that a mere two hours isn’t entirely representative of the whole experience, it will give you an idea if it is worth buying or not.

Baldur’s Gate 3 originally came out on PlayStation 5 in September of this year. Larian Studios truly outdid itself and created an experience that, so far, is being considered one of the best games of the year. The game has been nominated a total of eight (8) times, which includes the coveted Game of the Year award.

Baldur’s Gate 3 Coming To Xbox In December, Date To Be Revealed At The Game Awards

As for team Xbox, Baldur’s Gate 3 still isn’t out and is planned to make it to Series X and S consoles sometime in December. The delay was likely caused by the feature parity between the two Xbox consoles, with the lower-power one holding the game back.

Larian Studios has also revealed that it plans on releasing a Physical Deluxe Edition during Q1 of 2024. The Deluxe Edition of Baldur’s Gate 3 will include the following:

  • The game itself
  • A world map
  • An original soundtrack on three discs
  • A Mind Flayer poster
  • A Deluxe Edition box, similar to previous older “big box” PC editions
  • 32 stickers
  • 2 patches

Baldur’s Gate 3 is available on PC, PS5, and soon, Xbox Series.
