With the year almost coming to an end, many are wondering what the future of gaming looks like. After 2 years of the global pandemic shuttering performance in studios, people began to take notice of the trend. A domino effect, if you will, cascaded upon the market starting with transitioning to work from home stations. Many feared that the industry itself would regress into smaller releases like recent developments in certain studios. Aside from this, Sony’s most recent pivot to online video presentations has given them a chance to overcome this. With constant updates to the PlayStation State of Play presentations, fans are always in the know on the latest PS5 and PS4 titles. Now, it seems that Sony is returning with a new State of Play October edition full of new info and reveals.
A new State of Play is heading your way next Wednesday, October 27 starting at 2:00pm PT / 10:00pm BST.

What Should Fans Expect at PlayStation’s State of Play for October?
As the last State of Play aired on September 9, Sony certainly took their time this month. The last presentation certainly received some criticism for showing mainly CG trailers, so this monthly update should include some key updates. Yet, the September State of Play was more focused on reveals of games to come. The PlayStation State of Play for October will only be 20 minutes long but promises some key reveals. Yet, there’s little news on what PlayStation themselves plan on showing at the presentation. While Sony Santa Monica just silently announced God of War 2018 on PC, fans are curious about whether or not this will the be latest in a continuation of new ports. Seeing how Uncharted 4 and Lost Legacy were announced for PC at the last State of Play, it would not be unlikely for them to continue the trend. Whatever they reveal, be sure to check back for more updates on the latest PlayStation State of Play.
