Evolving Pokémon is one of the main points of any game. However, in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond/Shining Pearl, you can’t learn how to evolve the likes of Pachirisu. This is because this is one of many Pokémon that doesn’t have an evolutionary path. Let’s explain a bit more about Pachirisu and the other ways you can utilize this Pokémon.

(Not) Evolving Pachirisu in Brilliant Diamond/Shining Pearl

Over a dozen Pokémon don’t evolve, and many of these are Legendary or Mythical creatures. In fact, among the Generation 4 Pokémon, the Electric-type Pachirisu is just one of 19 that stays the same.

So, in this case, you don’t have to worry about finding any special items for it to hold or reaching certain friendship levels. What you can do is simply focus on raising its levels in general just to improve its stats.

Pachirisu has the following base stats in Brilliant Diamond/Shining Pearl:

HP 60
Attack 45
Special Attack 45
Defense 70
Special Defense 90
Speed 95
Total 405

To find Pachirisu in the first place, you need to search in multiple locations. While out in the wild, it can be encountered in the following areas:

  • Route 205 North (rare)
  • Route 205 South (rare)
  • Fuego Ironworks (rare)
  • Valley Windworks (uncommon)

It typically shows up in tall grass or caves. Additionally, you can head to the Grand Underground to encounter it too:

  • Spacious Cave
  • Whiteout Cave

Remember that you can always place the proper statue in your Secret Base. This way, you can increase your chances of running into an Electric-type Pokémon while roaming the Grand Underground.

In Pokémon Brilliant Diamond/Shining Pearl, there’s no way to learn how to evolve Pachirisu. It’s just one of many Pokémon that simply doesn’t have an evolution. Instead, you can pour all your energy into improving its stats and learning various moves. And hey, at least it has a different sprite so you can enjoy some cosmetic changes.

Pokémon Brilliant Diamond/Shining Pearl is available on Nintendo Switch.
