Despite there being several fun companions to find, Wormadam is perhaps one of the most interesting Pokémon in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond/Shining Pearl. Much of this is because she has three forms. However, these forms don’t just change her looks. With a new cloak, Wormadam’s type changes too. So, depending on the cloak, she’ll have various uses. To ensure you get what you want, keep our guide handy to obtain all of Wormadam forms in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond/Shining Pearl.
All Wormadam Forms in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond/Shining Pearl
Let’s face it: Wormadam can be a bit difficult to use in battle. This is because she isn’t the strongest Pokémon. Also, depending on its combination, it can have a good deal of weaknesses an opponent can take advantage of. Even so, finding all of Wormadam’s forms can help give your party a bit more versatility in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond/Shining Pearl.
With all that said, let’s take a closer look at her. To start, Wormadam can have a Plant, Sandy, or Trash cloak. However, the cloak is determined by the battle location with your female Burmy. The cloak will change when she evolves. So, you’ll have to get her to Level 20 to achieve this.
Thankfully, the type of battle doesn’t matter. So, you can do this in either a trainer battle or a wild encounter. Now that you know what you want, head to the following areas:
- Plant Cloak: Tall Grass and Outdoors
- Sandy Cloak: Beaches, Caves, and Snowy Areas
- Trash Cloak: Indoors
Once you’re there, let your female Burmy fight in their last battle to get the form you want.
So, for the Plant Cloak form, you will get a Bug/Grass-type Pokémon. Next up is the Sandy Cloak, and that will be a Bug/Ground-type Pokémon. Lastly, the Trash Cloak will be a Bug/Steel-type Pokémon.
