With every Pokémon having its strengths and weaknesses, understanding more about them can help you better balance your party out. When it comes to Milotic, they are a pure Water-type Pokémon. It doesn’t have too many weaknesses to exploit or that you should worry about.

In Pokémon Brilliant Diamond/Shining Pearl, Milotic has a primary weakness against Grass and Electric-type Pokémon. It takes 2x damage when faced with these types. Additionally, it can take 0.5x damage from Fire, Ice, Steel, and other Water-type Pokémon.

Something to note about Milotic is that it has a high Special Defense stat. Because of this, it can withstand special moves well, and a lot of Electric moves or Grass moves tend to be of a special variety. When you’re fighting Milotic, just keep this in mind as it may require more than one special move to take it down.

Also, when you’re using Milotic, be sure to switch it out if your opponent uses a special Grass or Electric move against it. It typically can’t handle an attack from more than one.

Check out all of Milotic’s stats:

HP 95
Attack 60
Special Attack 100
Defense 79
Special Defense 125
Speed 81
Total 540
