If you’re one of the millions of people playing Pokemon Go, you’re probably wondering how to get a Shiny Swirlix. Unfortunately, it’s not as easy as spinning a PokeStop or catching a wild Pansage. Indeed there are tonnes of shiny Pokemons in the game, but only a handful are available through normal gameplay. So how can you get your hands on a Swirlix that’s shiny and new? So what’s the best way to go about it? Keep reading to find out!
Niantic has provided more information about the Pokémon Go Fest 2022 in-person event, which will happen from Aug. 5 to 7 in Sapporo, Japan. It’ll feature fresh Shiny Pokémon and Sky Forme Shaymin, much like the July event in Berlin.
The ticketed event will cost 3,000 yen and give players access to both days of Go Fest and all the unique material available. Special Research to encounter Sky Forme Shaymin is included, as well as Field and Timed Research based on the theme.
The event will include its separate mini-habitat rotation, each with a new Collection Challenge based on its distinct subject matters.
This will be the first time players get Shiny Swirlix in Pokemon Go. The pink Pokemon will be appearing in the wild, as well as in eggs and raids. So be sure to keep your eyes peeled for this rare creature!
What is Shiny Swirlix in Pokemon Go?
Shiny Swirlix is a new variation of the regular Swirlix pokemon introduced in Pokemon Go as part of the Solstice Event. It’s a different coloration than the regular Swirlix and is significantly rarer. While the odds of encountering a Shiny Pokemon in the wild are usually about 1 in 450, the odds of finding a Shiny Swirlix are more like 1 in 2000. So if you want to catch one of these rare and elusive creatures, you’ll have to put in some extra effort.

How to Get Shiny Swirlix in Pokemon Go
The best way to get your hands on a Shiny Swirlix is to participate in particular event-exclusive Field Research tasks. These are special missions you can pick up from PokeStops, and they’ll task you with doing things like catching a certain number of Pokemon or spinning a certain number of PokeStops. If you complete one of these tasks, you’ll be rewarded with a special prize, a chance to be a Shiny Swirlix.
Another way to get ahold of a Shiny Swirlix is by hatching eggs. If you’re lucky, one of the eggs you hatch as part of the Solstice Event may contain a Shiny Swirlix. Of course, this is all down to chance, so you may need to hatch quite a few eggs before you get lucky.
Finally, the last way to obtain a Shiny Swirlix is by participating in raids. These are unique cooperative battles against powerful Pokemon, and if you defeat the raid boss, you’ll be rewarded with a chance to catch that Pokemon. While the odds of finding a Shiny Swirlix this way are pretty low, it’s still worth participating in raids if you can, as you never know when you might get lucky.
