Pokemon Go hosts a lot of different events each month, including different Raids, Spotlight hours, and event paths. These events introduce opportunities for players to catch some rarer Pokemon that they wouldn’t be able to on a daily while out in the wild. Currently, the new path available in Pokemon Go is the Starry Skies Research day or night event. This challenge basically revolves around what time of day it is and when trainers normally play. Here is Pokemon Go Day or Night’s best starry skies path to pick.

What Pokemon Go Day or Night Starry Skies Path

This Pokemon Go Starry Skies Research Day or Night event depends solely on what time players around active on the mobile game. If a trainer plays more during the day, it would be in their best interest to choose day, the same goes for night. Some players might want to play before they start their day or throughout it on breaks at school or work, so pick Daytime. However, some people who are night owls or want to work a different shift than others will want to pick Nighttime.

Both Daytime and Nighttime have different research tasks, which include things like catching Grass and Bug-type Pokemon, which is fairly easy to do right now, as well as spinning PokeStops and hatching Eggs. These are the tasks that are required for those who play during the day. If a player chooses Nighttime, they will need to catch Ghost or Dark-type Pokemon, which only spawn at night anyways. Trainers will also need to complete Field Research and win Raids for the Nighttime path.

For some players, it will be easier to find a bunch of Grass and Bug-type Pokemon while out in the wild, but it is also fairly easy to catch Ghost and/or Dark-type Pokemon too. These are the only tasks that are really timely since these types of Pokemon only spawn at certain times during the day. All of the other Special Research tasks can be completed at any time throughout each day. Below is a detailed list of what tasks will be available for each path.

Daytime Path Task List:

  •  x2 Catch 20 Grass or Bug-type Pokemon
  • x2 Explore 10km
  • x2 Spin 25 PokeStops or Gyms
  • x3 Make 10 curveball throws in a row
  • x3 Earn 10 candles walking with your buddy
  • x4 Hatch 5 eggs.

Night Time Path Task List:

  • x2 Tatch 20 Ghost or Dark-type Pokemon
  • x2 Take snapshots of 20 different wild Pokemon
  • x2 Use 30 berries to help catch Pokemon
  • x3 make 5 excellent throws
  • x3 Catch 30 different species of Pokemon
  • x3 Complete 15 Field Research Tasks
  • x4 Win 5 Raids
That’s everything to know about the Pokemon Go Day or Night Starry Skies Path choice in the mobile game. Pick the path that is most accurate for those daily play times.
Pokemon GO is available on iOS and Android.
