The new Dark Flames event is taking place in Pokemon Go from June 29 to July 2, 2023. During it, you have a chance to catch a lot of Dark and Fire-type Pokemon, as their spawn rate is increased. But one of the most interesting parts of the event is Dark Flames Timed Research.
This Research is available to all players during the event. However, it differs from most, because after completing the tasks of the first page, you will be given a choice of two Paths, namely Fire or Dark. It is a very important choice, as your further Research tasks and encounters depend on it.
Dark Flames Timed Research – Fire Path
By choosing the Fire Path, you have to complete tasks related to Fire-type Pokemon. In other words, you’ll need to catch, Power up, Purify, Evolve, and even do Snapshots of Fire-type Pokemon. Also using Incense you will be able to attract Fire-types. The same applies to the rewards that you will receive for tasks:
- Slugma encounter
- Alolan Marowak encounter
- Darumaka encounter
Dark Flames Timed Research – Dark Path
By choosing the Dark Path, your tasks will be the same, but with Dark-type Pokemon. So if you have a lot of Pokemon of this type, you can use the event to upgrade them and create a stronger team. It is also worth noting that for the completing Research tasks, your encounters will be different:
- Carvanha encounter
- Sneasel encounter
- Scraggy encounter
