Halloween is just around the corner, and all gaming worlds are eagerly preparing activities for the upcoming holiday. Pokemon Go was no exception, offering players a fun and slightly scary Harvest Festival event. During this event, you will have an exclusive opportunity to catch 12 harvest pocket monsters, including several Flabébé variations. But more importantly, say hello to Smoliv in the world of Pokemon Go. Mossy Lure Modules bonuses, the search for the best Arboliva, and the Pumpkaboo Shiny hunt are just a part of the upcoming Halloween fun, so get ready.

When the Harvest Festival Event Starts

As we said, the Harvest Festival Event is just around the corner and starts on October 12, 2023, at 10:00 AM Local Time and will last until October 17 at 8:00 PM Local Time. Of course, you might think that five days is not enough for this festival, but that’s all we have. So make good use of this time by catching as many themed pocket monsters as possible.

To answer the question, we can say Yes, Smoliv and its evolutionary forms Dolliv and Arboliva have been officially added to the Pokédex and will now periodically visit the game world. And No, Smoliv cannot be Shiny yet. Harvest Festival celebrates the first appearance of this olive family in the world of Pokemon Go. So, give them time to get used to it before they call out their uniquely colored mates.

As for getting Smoliv, you can find it in the wild of the game world and catch it like any other Pokemon. Additionally, you can receive an encounter with this Pokemon as a reward for Field Research Tasks. As for Dolliv and Arboliva, you will need 25 and 100 Smoliv Candies, respectively. Classic evolution without additional requirements, nothing unusual.

All Harvest Festival Wild Encounters

While Smoliv and Pumpkaboo have received the bulk of the attention, you can also find quite a few other Pokemon arriving in the wild in Pokemon Go during the holiday:

  • Bellsprout (Shiny)
  • Sunkern (Shiny)
  • Wurmple (Shiny)
  • Combee (Shiny)
  • Sewaddle
  • Cottonee (Shiny)
  • Petilil (Shiny)
  • Red Flower Flabébé
  • Yellow Flower Flabébé
  • Blue Flower Flabébé
  • Bounsweet
  • Pumpkaboo (Shiny)
  • Smoliv

Festival Bonuses

Also, in honor of the harvest festival, you will receive several thematic bonuses that will make your hunt for event pocket monsters easier:

  • Mossy Lure Modules last 2 hours.
  • Mossy Lure Modules have an increased chance of attracting Pumpkaboo.
  • Catching Pumpkaboo during the event will earn you a bonus Pumpkaboo Candy.

All Event Research Tasks & Challenge

Well, finally, it’s worth mentioning the time-limited thematic Tasks and Challenges:

  • Harvest Festival Field Research Tasks. Repeatable tasks that will give you an encounter with Plant, Sandy, and Trash Cloak forms of the Burmy, Smoliv, and Pumpkaboo.
  • Collection Challenge. As always, you must catch all the Pokemon participating in the event in exchange for valuable rewards. You can even get some Mossy Lure Modules.
  • Ticket of Treats. To get the most out of the Harvest Festival event, you can buy this Paid Timed Research for $5. This research includes several stages and cool rewards, but you must complete it before October 31st.

That’s all you need to know about the Harvest Festival event in Pokemon Go. Finally, we only add that this event starts in a few days, but Ticket of Treats is available now. So you can start your celebrations early and get some pleasure bonuses.

The Harvest Festival is here to send off summer and welcome fall in the northern hemisphere! 🍁
