Amaura is one of the latest additions Pokèmon Go players are rushing to catch. With our guide, we’ll tell you everything you need to know about this Pokèmon so you can add them to your collection to face down any battle.
How to Catch Amaura in Pokèmon Go
Amaura is a recent Pokèmon to join Pokèmon Go, but they were first introduced in Generation 6. A Rock/Ice dual-type, Amaura was an add-in during Adventure Week on June 7, 2022. After Adventure Week concludes, it’s uncertain how Amaura will spawn and how often. There’s a solid chance it may become a rare find in the game. So, it pays to nab one while you can.
There are four methods you can use to catch Amaura though in Pokèmon Go:
- In the wild
- Adventure Challenge Reward
- Adventure Week field research tasks
- Hatching 7km eggs
Finding Amaura in the wild seems a safe bet. You can always place a lure on a PokèStop or add some incense to your character to help increase your chances of catching Amaura in Pokèmon Go. Otherwise, you have a higher chance on June 12th as it is Ultra Unlock Research Day. Between 11 am and 3 pm, Amaura will spawn frequently.
With the Adventure Challenge, it’s the “Earn 5 Candies exploring with your Buddy” challenge you must complete to try and get Amaura in Pokèmon Go.
Another method is to finish specific Field Research tasks. It’s a quick method to force an encounter with Amaura, but it’s not a guarantee. Do remember, though, that tasks change on a day-to-day basis. So, again, it’s not certain you’ll get Amaura this way.
Lastly, you can collect and hatch 7km eggs during Adventure Week. This is also not a guarantee, though. So, you may go through several before you catch Amaura in Pokèmon Go.
Something to make note of: as of now, there is no Shiny Amaura. However, they may add one at some point in the future, perhaps during another event.
