According to Redditor Puzzleheaded_Ad_3246, fighting Giovanni andย Purifying his Shadow Kyogreย during the Timeless Travels Season make the key to this Ace Trainer Medal grind. The Pokemon is quite strong and has fast attack animation thanks to its Waterfall move.
Once you have caught it, head to the Battle menu andย select Candelaย as your Training partner. Her Great League party, consisting of Combusken, Magcargo, and Flareon, is rather predictable and very weak to Water. Especially Magcargo, which is a Fire/Rock dual-typing Pokemon that takes four times extra damage from Water-Type moves!
Start the battle and keep attacking using Waterfall; don’t use any Charged Move as it has longer animation and takes more time to finish. You should be able to defeat Candela’s whole party in just 27 seconds.
