Pokémon Go TCG Crossover Event is here, and it brings new Collection Challenge tasks and rewards. There are more than a dozen different Pokémon involved here, so our guide will break down each challenge to help you catch or trade what you need.
TCG Crossover Event Collection Challenge Guide for Pokémon Go
The Crossover Event with TCG and Pokémon Go officially started on Thursday, June 16, 2022, at 10:00 AM, and it’s active until Thursday, June 30, 2022, at 8:00 PM. This gives players more than enough time to complete the variety of challenges and tasks laid out.
One of these is the Collection Challenge which has players trading or catching Pokémon.
We’ll break down each Collection Challenge, showing you exactly what you need to do to get the rewards.
Bulbasaur, Charmander, and Squirtle Collection Challenge
Bulbasaur Collection Challenge 1
With this challenge, you must catch the following Pokémon:
- Bulbasaur
- Spinarak
- Wimpod
- Aipom
- Pikachu (TCG Hat)
Once you do, you’ll receive 1,000 XP and a Venusaur encounter as a Reward.
Charmander Collection Challenge 1
In this Pokémon Go Collection Challenge, catch the Pokémon below:
- Charmander
- Numel
- Magikarp
- Alolan Rattata
- Pikachu (TCG Hat)
The Reward for finishing this is 1,000 XP and a Charizard encounter.
Squirtle Collection Challenge 1
This Pokémon Go Collection Challenge tasks you to catch the following:
- Squirtle
- Bidoof
- Slowpoke
- Eevee
- Pikachu (TCG Hat)
Afterward, you’ll get 1,000 XP and a Blastoise encounter for the Reward.
Kanto Collection Challenge in Pokémon Go
For the TCG Crossover Event Kanto Challenge, there are six Pokémon you must catch:
- Ivysaur
- Charmelon
- Wartortle
- Venusaur
- Charizard
- Blastoise
It pays to finish the last three Collection Challenges since some of these Pokémon have an encounter as a reward. This can give you an easier time completing the Kanto challenge.
When you do, you’ll receive 5,000 XP and 1x Egg Incubator.
Trade and Advanced Collection Challenge
For the Trade Collection Challenge, trade the following:
- Pikachu
- Bulbasaur
- Charmander
- Squirtle
You’ll get 3,000 XP and 1x Lure Module.
As for the Advanced Challenge, you’ll have to trade and catch certain Pokémon.
These are the ones you must trade:
- Venusaur
- Charizard
- Blastoise
Meanwhile, these are the Pokémon you must catch for the Collection Challenge:
- Snorlax
- Slaking
- Dragonite
Once completed, you’ll get 10,000 XP and a Meltan encounter.
