Whether Primeape is your go-to or you want to plan to encounter one, there are some moves that work out best. Pokémon Go Movesets Counters Primeape

Primeape, available in Regular and Shiny form, is a Fighting-type Pokémon. So, they’re naturally weak to Fairy, Psychic, and Flying. On the other hand, Primepae has resistance to Bug, Dark, and Rock movesets in Pokémon Go.

Their Base Stats are as followed:

  • Attack: 207
  • Defense: 138
  • Stamina: 163

In Pokémon Go, there are a couple of great movesets for Primeape that can turn the battle in your favor. Our favorites include Close Combat (52.2 dps) and Counter (16 dps). Also, Cross Chop (40 dps) comes in at a close third.

Primeape does well against Rock, Ice, Dark, Normal, and Steel Pokémon. Since they’re also resistant to Rock, Fairy, and Bug-type, you have a good range of Pokémon to battle against.

Fairy, Psychic, and Flying do the most damage, so consider using a Pokémon that excels with one of these types. Here are some of our favorite Pokémon and their movesets to use against Primeape:
