Want to know about the best movesets and counters for Scizor in Pokemon Go? Scizor is a powerful Bug and Steel-type Pokémon native to the Johto region. Although this Pokémon is neither a legendary nor a mythical Pokémon, it can defeat many of them. His max CP is over 3000, and he has a lot of resistance and almost no vulnerabilities. To get Scizor into your Pokémon collection, you must evolve Scyther by spending 50 Candy and Metal Coat or defeat Scizor in Raid Gyms. In addition, Scizor has recently become one of the Mega Evolve Pokémon, so now you have even more reasons to get this Pokémon. Whether you’re a Scizor trainer or just looking to get one, you should know about the best movesets and counters for Scizor in Pokemon Go.

The Best Movesets for Scizor in Pokemon Go

As we said earlier, Scizor is a pretty strong Pokemon capable of fighting a variety of Pokemon. As a Bug and Steel-type Pokémon, Scizor has resistances to Normal, Bug, Steel, Psychic, Ice, Dragon, Fairy, Poison, and Grass-type attacks. All attacks of these types deal Scizor 63% damage, while Poison and Grass-type attacks only deal 39% damage.

In addition to an impressive amount of resistance, he also wields powerful moves that make this Pokémon even more dangerous for his opponents. The best movesets for Scizor in Pokemon Go are Fury Cutter and Iron Head, with an average DPS of 13.23. Although the other movesets of this Pokémon also are relatively effective, you can also use them:

  • Fury Cutter and X-Scissor (DPS12.76)
  • Bullet Punch and Iron Head (DPS12.35)
  • Bullet Punch and X-Scissor (DPS 12.10)

If you think that such indicators of characteristics are not enough, remember that Scizor can Mega evolve. Once you collect enough of this Pokemon’s Mega Energy, its CP will reach 4600, and the best movesets will have an average DPS of 18+.

The Best Counters for Scizor in Pokemon Go

If you’re only looking to get the Scizor into your collection, you’ll probably want to beat him in a Raid Gyms to get a Scizor with better stats. As we said earlier, Scizor has almost no weaknesses, but still, he is not omnipotent. As a Bug and Steel-type Pokémon, Scizor is vulnerable to Fire-type attacks, which deal 256% damage to Scizor. When choosing Pokémon to fight Scizor, we advise you to use those with Fire-type attacks and resistance to Bug and Steel-type attacks.
