The Pokémon Company International has officially provided details regarding the upcoming animated series based on the Pokémon Legends Arceus games. The three-episode series by WIT Studio, first teased during the Pokémon Presents on Pokémon Day 2022 and officially titled Pokémon: Hisuian Snow, will take fans on a new adventure in the ancient Hisui region in a new web series slated to premiere on May 18, 2022, exclusively on the official Pokémon YouTube channel and Pokémon TV.
Pokémon: Hisuian Snow Premiere and Web Series Details
Pokémon Hisuian Snow will take fans back to the accident Hisui region, first explored in the Pokémon Legends: Arceus as the ancient Sinnoh region, long before the existence of Pokémon Trainers, Gyms, or cities. The story of the Pokémon: Hisuian Snow web series will take place during this ancient age when the relationship between people and Pokémon was very different. The main protagonist, named Alec, reminisces about the first time his father took him to the Hisui region. Over the course of three episodes, the series will explore details of stories from Alec’s past.
The Pokémon Company International has revealed initial details of other key characters and Pokémon that will be featured in the web series. There is, of course, Alec, a mild-mannered young man who is studying to become a doctor and who once accompanied his father on a visit to the Hisui region as a child. Alec’s father, a woodworker who originally lived in a different region and who recently moved to the Hisui region to procure materials, will also be a central character. He came to fear Pokémon after a certain incident.
The Spiteful Fox Pokémon, Zorua, who lives in the Hisui region, will also appear in Pokémon: Hisuian Snow and will run into Alec and his father over the course of the story.
Pokémon: Hisuian Snow is being produced by The Pokémon Company International in collaboration with WIT STUDIO. More information on additional episode release dates will be revealed following the first episode’s premiere on May 18, 2022.
