Bergmite is an Ice-type Pokemon that first appeared in Generation VI of the long-running franchise and is also one of the many Pokemon that you can capture in Pokemon Legends: Arceus. While the Pokemon has always been able to evolve into the Ice and Rock-type Pokemon, Avalugg, this new game brings a whole new version of the Pokemon for trainers to get for their party and into their Pokedex on their journey to catch ’em all. To get this new Avalugg, players are going to want to know how to evolve their Bergmite, and luckily, it is a fairly simple process. This guide will explain how to evolve Bergmite into Avalugg in Pokemon Legends: Arceus.

How To Evolve Bergmite In Pokemon Legends: Arceus

To evolve Bergmite into Avalugg, players will simply need to get the icy creature to a certain level, with no need for any items or moves that need to be used a certain number of times like some of the other Pokemon found in the game. This is the same process that gets Bergmite to evolve in other entries in the series, but the result is an all-new version of Avalugg unique to the game’s region of Hisui. Before you start to look to evolve a Bergmite, you will need to catch one. You can find Bergmites, who are going to want to look in the Alabaster Icelands, with some of the better locations to look in being near Icepeak Arena and Avalugg’s Legacy. Once you catch a Bergimte, you should start to level them up. You will need to get your Bergmite to level 37, at which point you will be able to get the Pokemon to evolve into a Hisuian Avalugg.

Once you get your Bergmite to level 37, you will be given the prompt to evolve your Pokemon. When a Pokemon is ready to evolve, the Pokeball icon next to their name in the menu is glowing yellow. Unlike other entries in the series, you will need to evolve the Pokemon manually. Simply scroll over to the Pokemon in question and press the X button to have it evolve and grow stronger. Doing so will evolve your Bergmite into a Hisuian Avalugg in Pokemon Legends: Arceus.

Pokemon Legends: Arceus is available now on Nintendo Switch.
