The Pokemon Company has announced that the epilogue to Pokemon Scarlet and Violet’s DLC, The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero, will release in January. Shared via a tweet, the epilogue will release on January 11 at 6AM PT / 9AM ET. It will be available as a free update for anyone who owns both the base game and the DLCs. The trailer states that players will need to have completed the story quests of both DLCs, along with a couple of post-game quests for the main game. While the trailer didn’t reveal too much, here’s what you can expect from the Pokemon Scarlet and Violet DLC epilogue.
Return to Kitakami in Scarlet and Violet’s DLC Epilogue
Pokemon Scarlet and Violet‘s DLC Epilogue has you return to Kitakami, the area from the first part of the DLC, The Teal Mask. This time, you will bring your friends from the main story, Nemona, Penny, and Arven, with you to the area. The trailer doesn’t show much of what you will be doing and instead just shows the characters reacting to something we can’t see. While The Pokemon Company didn’t share how long the epilogue will be, it is likely to be a shorter experience due to it being a free update.
The other tease from the trailer is that the Mythic Pokemon Pecharunt will appear in the epilogue. Dataminers already found files in the game related to this Mythic Pokemon, which is not available in the DLC just yet. Pecharunt is believed to be the reason the Loyal Three from The Teal Mask were corrupted, so the event might reveal more about how that happened. The Pokemon Company likely won’t reveal too much more about Pokemon Scarlet and Violet’s DLC epilogue, but you won’t have to wait too long to play it yourself.
Pokemon Scarlet and Violet are available on Nintendo Switch.
