Light Clay is a Held Item in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet that extends the effects of specific Moves to last more turns than their default duration. For instance, Light Screen, Reflect, and Aurora Veil will last eight turns instead of five, allowing their effect to be more potent in battle. Therefore, if Trainers are looking to enhance the capabilities of pocket monsters like Gardevoir and its Psychic-type Light Screen, then knowing how to acquire this Held Item should certainly be a priority in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. Continue reading to learn about the methods of obtaining Light Clay in Paldea.

There are two ways to get Light Clay in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. The first way is a one-time freebie method that involves finding the Held Item within the town of Alfornada, a settlement in Area Six of the South Province that is best known for its Psychic-type Gym Leader, Tulip.

According to gameplay by YouTube content creator RandomRam, Light Clay can be found in a Poké Ball within Alfornada. To find it, Trainers can start their journey at the town’s Pokécenter. Next, they must make their way onto the central main road and continue eastward before taking the second right. The spot where players should turn is marked with a yellow fire hydrant. After turning, players must take another turn to the left and pass by an NPC sitting on a bench. Continue toward the two flower pots near the building ahead and pick up the Poké Ball on the ground to acquire a free Light Clay Held Item.

Suppose Trainers have already found Light Clay at Alfornada but wish to get more copies of the item for units in their roster. In that case, they can visit the Delibirds Presents Branch in Cascarrafa. To find this particular shop, Trainers must go north of the Cascarrafa (West) Pokécenter and enter the building at the upper-left corner of the city. In this Delibirds Presents Branch, players will find Light Clay available for sale for ₽20,000 each. Unlike the Flame Orb Held Item, Light Clay is purchasable from the Delibirds Presents in Cascarrafa from the start of the game, meaning that there are no prerequisites for it to become available.

Pokémon Scarlet and Violet are available on the Nintendo Switch.
