A trademark listing has been discovered which could reveal the name of the new entries in the Pokémon series.
Named Pokemon Sun and Moon, these could be the follow up to 2014’s Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire.

The artwork looks legit and would coincide with the familiar Nintendo trend of releasing two titles with opposing names. With Nintendo announcing a Nintendo Direct for Friday, Feb 26th at 7 pm PT, chances are we will have these two entries confirmed.
No details yet have been released for the games and the platform is not even known. Will it be for the 3DS or could we be finally seeing the much-requested console ports we have been craving for years? We’ll find out very soon for sure.
2016 marks 20 years of the pocket monsters and the year is already shaping up to be a fitting tribute to the much-loved franchise. We have seen Pokémon Super Mystery Dungeon release this year on the 3DS and Pokken Tournament for the Wii U is just around the corner. To coincide with the anniversary of the franchise, limited edition 2DS’s were released in red, blue and yellow and the classic games will be emerging on the Nintendo E-Shop.
2016 will also see the release of the mysterious Pokémon Go which will be the series first foray into the smartphone market. Using augmented reality, you can find Pokémon to catch all around the world and have them battle your rivals. The game looks promising and you can even purchase a Bluetooth Pokéball to wear on your belt.
