While the prices for getting a haircut will vary from person to person, having one’s dog professionally groomed will almost always cost a good chunk of change. After all, dogs are more or less covered in hair, from head to paw bean, so haircuts need to be done right. Well, that can’t be said for one pet owner’s dog in Austin, Texas. The dog had gone out for a haircut with another family member, but when the man got back, he was mildly infuriated with the job.

Came home and saw the $200 haircut our dog got.

“Came home and saw the $200 haircut our dog got,” the Texan groaned on r/mildlyinfuriating. Granted, the pet looked cute, but only as a concept for a cartoon character. In reality, not only did it look pretty bad, but many also pointed out what a poor job the professional had done, for $200, no less. One commenter claiming to be a groomer bluntly says, “You need to find another groomer.” They explain, saying how the chest is all patchy with excess uncut parts on the flanks. Unless whoever took the dog requested that style, it’s a sloppy job, simply put. And the area around the eyes makes it all even worse.

“It looks bad and the poor pup still can’t see,” says one user. “They grow that hair to shade their eyes from the sun not completely [expletive] blind them…” adds another. A third wonders “if the groomer literally didn’t even try.” “Bro they did your dog dirty,” says a fourth. One thing’s for sure: the dog is probably going to struggle doing any sort of outdoor sports or rigorous play unless someone gets the clump of hair out of its eyes.

At the very least, it does comically look very similar to another animal. As one person points out, “Sorry to break it to you but he’s a Llama now.”
