The holidays are truly the one time of the year when all of your family gets together under the same roof to eat and sit around with one another. Sometimes you need to come up with new ways to celebrate to keep the spark alive and avoid people getting bored with one another. One Tennessee family decided to take this just a little too far when they decided to prank their grandmother into thinking that the police wanted her for shoplifting. I’ll admit, the video is actually pretty funny, despite being at the grandmother’s expense.

The above video was posted to the TikTok account @big.kirahh, which is owned by a young Tennessee woman named Kirah. She typically posts about her everyday life and family, which doesn’t make this video all too different. You can see that it takes place on Christmas Day in what appears to be someone’s living room.

The entire family is sitting together, watching television, when suddenly the news station they are watching begins reporting on a police search. It is very clear that the entire video was made with AI, but it’s still rather convincing. The reporter then begins speaking about how a woman was being searched for by police for shoplifting over $500 worth of products.

Then the family’s grandmother’s photo appears on-screen, prompting the person recording to focus on the woman immediately. You can see the sheer horror and panic on her face as she tries to understand exactly what’s going on while her family all start joking with her.

The comments immediately blew up, with people laughing alongside the family and many feeling bad for the state the grandmother was in while trying to figure out exactly what was happening. One person even commented, “The sheer panic in her eyes 😭😭😭,” alongside a photo of the woman.

Other people were poking fun at the pranks as a whole, with another person saying, “No but seriously how do you do this because my mom actually really do be stealing and she need to learn her lesson 🤣.”

The video ends without anyone telling the grandmother it was a joke, but it seems like this is the kind of family that pulls tricks like this on one another all the time. I’ll admit that the video was really well made, and this should be the start of a Christmas tradition from here on out
