You may have heard that Ludens, the mascot character for Kojima Productions, is getting his own collector’s statue. And if you’re at all familiar with these types of things, you know you must be prepared to spend hundreds of dollars on one, and to do it as fast as possible before thy sell out. Well this time, the stakes have been raised to astronomical heights – the statue is a 1/2 scale figure, costs $2,000, and is limited to 150 in number, one per person. If that’s not a special collectible, then we don’t know what is.

Ludens wears an extra-vehicular activity (EVA) suit with rotating Turing pattern elements. The helmet features LED lights, and he holds the Kojima Productions flag in his right hand.

Kojima Productions and Prime 1 will begin shipping in early 2018 and stands at 63 inches. That calculates to five and one-quarter feet. That’s right, this guy is as tall as you are, and that’s supposed to be at 1/2 scale. Kojima Productions is taking pre-orders as we speak, so if you just happen to have a spare $2,000 you don’t need…

Of course, you don’t have to pay for Ludens in one lump sum, as there are payment plans available. Note that the statue will not ship until the final payment has been received.

There’s more. Each limited edition statue will be signed by Kojima himself. As far as we know, all 150 of these massive things are limited editions, so there’s no need to worry about which one you’ll get. This could mean that another version will release sometime in the future, though it’s just as likely that this is all there will be.
