How The Reboot Will Compare to the Original Pretty Little Liars Series
The original Pretty Little Liars ran for seven seasons on Freeform (formerly ABC Family) from 2010 to 2017. The series developed a strong following and had social media buzzing with every twist and turn. Troian Bellisario, Ashley Benson, Lucy Hale, Shay Mitchell, and Sasha Pieterse played the leads in the original series. Now the HBO Max reboot series has new lies and drama. Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin will have all-new suspects, but it will need to work hard to reel in fans of the first series and books. The teaser trailer shows the mystery and danger the new Liars are in for. The new cast will have to establish themselves in such a way that they don’t seem like carbon copies of the original cast. HBO Max already rebooted Gossip Girls a tween favorite from the early 2000s.
Fans will have to wait and see the drama unfold when the HBO Max reboot series Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin premieres on July 28th.
