Update on Harry and Meghan’s House-Hunting in Malibu
For the past few weeks, reports of Harry and Meghan house-hunting in Malibu dominated headlines. Now, sources with direct knowledge revealed that the couple finally has their eyes fixed on a property. On Wednesday, the insiders told TMZ that Harry and Meghan spent the weekend checking out a plot of land boasting almost six acres. According to the sources, the property already had a huge swimming pool and a guard house in front. What’s more, the foundation was already laid for a 10,000-square-foot main house. The insiders also noted that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex were interested in the gate and driveway leading to the main house. They also love the estate’s secluded location.
Regarding the property’s asking price, the sources shared that it sat at $8 million. They further revealed that building plans for the main house had already been approved, and a construction crew was in place. The insiders said if Harry and Meghan choose to buy the property, they will most likely take on the costs of construction, estimated at $10 million. However, for now, Harry and Meghan living in Malibu isn’t guaranteed, as the duo still has a lot of attachment to their home in Montecito.
