Prince William‘s “absolute ban” on Prince Harry and Meghan Markle from The Royal Family stems beyond simply political reasons — it’s personal. Speaking with GB News, royal commentator Michael Cole states that there’s “too much bad blood” between the Prince of Wales and the Duke of Sussex, “principally because Harry and his wife personally attacked his wife, Kate Middleton.
“When the announcement of her [Kate Middleton’s] cancer was made, their merely mouthed response to it didn’t show any great concern to her,” Cole proclaims during the interview.

The royal commentator went on, saying that “Prince William is not going to forgive” such egregious behavior against his wife, of all people. It’s been reported that Prince William is “refusing to speak to Prince Harry and has even taken on the role of disciplinarian” in The Royal Family, as the late Prince Phillips did. “Ruling with a rod of iron,” the Prince of Wales will not let the Sussexes hurt his wife or any other members of the royal fold anymore.
Cole continues his prediction of whether there’s any hope left between William or Harry and their relationship:
“I don’t think there’s any chance at all of there being a reconciliation with the brothers, now or in the foreseeable future. It goes back to [the] Oprah Winfrey interview, then the book Spare, and all the things that were said in the Netflix six-part series — too much bad blood.”

What makes this all worse is that Cole and many ‘Team Wales’ supporters believe that this whole feud is “completely unnecessary.” Prince Harry might have grown up feeling as if he was just a “spare” for the crown, but he has had a “wonderful, privileged life and “owes everything to being a member of The Royal family.”
While even celebrities and royals have their own battles to fight and struggles to overcome, Harry is “good-looking and married to a beautiful wife [Meghan Markle] with two healthy, beautiful children.” Not to mention, “he’s got more money than we could shake a stick at,” according to Michael Cole. In other words, there’s no reason to make such a fuss over his opposing feelings against the monarchy, yet this is the situation that Prince William, Kate Middleton, and King Charles have to deal with.
