Prince Harry’s life in California with Meghan Markle may not be as fulfilling as he had hoped. The Duke of Sussex is reportedly looking for a way to escape his life on the West Coast. He allegedly wants to leave his wife behind in the process. Now, sources claim that Harry’s father, King Charles, may be offering his youngest son the sanctuary he’s been desperate for in New York.
According to the September 23 edition of Woman’s Day, King Charles is rumored to have discreetly bought a $10 million apartment in Manhattan. There is now speculation that Charles may have bought the property as a bit of a safe haven for Prince Harry as he navigates his life in the US with Meghan Markle.
Prince Harry Escaping Meghan Markle with the Help of King Charles?
“There’s no doubt a big change is going on for Harry and Meghan,” a royal insider tells the outlet. “Everything they do and everything they try, rarely does it work out how they want it and the cracks have been showing for some time.
“This isn’t just about their awkward body language – he’s also not a skilled actor like her, and he can’t hide his discomfort with how things are. But Harry’s not the first Brit to become disillusioned with California, so it’s no surprise to hear he’s looking for an exit.”
The source revealed that Harry is set for a trip to New York this month. Of course, fans will be watching to see if he stays at his father’s apartment. Because NYC is halfway between London and California, it’s giving the royal the perfect distance to both his wife and his estranged family. The insider also reveals the NYC pad gives Harry “a base away from Meghan and her minions.”
“It’s possible he’ll be setting it up as an escape option should things get tough with Meghan,” the informant adds.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have offered no public hints that they are having issues in their relationship. However, several sources have speculated that Harry isn’t happy in California. Since Meghan reportedly refuses to return to the UK, he could be hitting his breaking point.
