Prince Harry and his father, King Charles, may never make amends. So much damage has been done over the years, and tensions continue to run high. While Charles may be able to forgive his youngest son for turning his back on the royal family, there is one thing that he will reportedly never be able to move past. Over the years, Harry has made some very critical remarks about Charles’ wife, Queen Camilla. Sources now claim that those comments won’t be forgiven.
King Charles and Queen Camilla’s relationship has been complicated in the past. The pair carried on an affair while Charles was married to Prince William and Prince Harry’s mother, Princess Diana. Several years after Diana’s death, Charles and Camilla finally married. Harry had allegedly had many problems with his stepmother, but his comments in his memoir Spare set things from bad to worse, per She Finds.
King Charles Can’t Forgive Prince Harry for His Harsh Words Against Queen Camilla
“I think people have to realize that the one thing that Charles finds unforgivable is criticism of Camilla,” author Christopher Andersen told Fox News. “There’s no criticism of Camilla. And unfortunately for Harry, Harry said some pretty devastating things about her. He made it clear that he felt she was the villain in the piece,” he continued.
It’s been reported that Harry previously asked Charles to choose between him and Camilla. Of course, Camilla seems to have won that competition. Now, Andersen says that Charles can’t forget the negative comments about his wife and won’t let them slide. This leaves Harry “on his own” when it comes to the royal family.
“I think that still bothers the King, and I don’t know that it will be easy for him to [forgive.] I don’t think they’ll ever forgive Harry for that,” the author added.
Queen Camilla is said to be bothered by Prince Harry’s feelings toward her. However, she tries not to let it bother her. Instead, she’s by King Charles’ side for love and support.
