Prince Harry and Meghan Markle may be one of the most talked-about couples in the world, but they definitely haven’t been able to use their fame to control the narrative surrounding their lives. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex often find themselves at the center of online drama and on the cover of tabloids. Most recently, one expert weighed in on the couple’s reputation and revealed how Harry holds all the cards when it comes to his wife’s stature.
According to The U.S. Sun, Prince Harry has the power to leave Meghan Markle in the dust if he chooses to. Recently, there have been a plethora of rumors surrounding the couple’s marriage and speculation that a divorce could be on the horizon. However, if there were to happen, Meghan’s reputation would be badly tarnished, and she may never be able to recover from it.
“Imagine if Meghan left Harry, it would destroy her reputation. She would be eviscerated publicly because she’s already slipped into this kind of category on social media, the way that pop culture commentators talk about her,” royal correspondent Jack Royston said.
“They lump her in with these other famous women who are perceived as being narcissistic or being controlling of their husbands,” he continued. “Alec Baldwin’s wife got this treatment the other day. So Blake Lively as well. So if she walked out on Harry, she would never reputationally survive it.”
Meghan Markle Would Be ‘Destroyed’ By Prince Harry Divorce

Another royal expert, Ingrid Seward, also weighed in on the royal couple. She claimed that Harry and Meghan appear to be “dependent” on each other. In addition, Seward says that it’s unlikely that Prince Harry would ever lean Meghan Markle or their two children, Archie and Lilibet, behind.
The two royal experts then went to agree that Meghan and Harry have a “symbiotic relationship” and really need each other to stay relevant. Without Harry, Meghan wouldn’t have the opportunities she’s been given. Meanwhile, the prince wouldn’t have much of a life in America without his wife and children by his side.
As far as returning to the royal family, it was recently reported that Prince William allegedly told his brother he could rejoin the firm if he were to ever divorce Meghan. However, leaving the U.S. and returning to the UK without his children doesn’t seem to be a likely move for the Duke of Sussex.
When it comes to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, these experts believe that they’ve painted themselves into a corner when it comes to their reputations. Now, they appear to be stuck in a bit of a career rut as they continue to dodge divorce rumors. Unfortunately, things may not get better for the pair unless something drastically changes.
