Amid being far away from what he knew as home, Prince Harry‘s book chronicles his time with his extended family. A leaked extract of his autobiography showed King Charles appealing to his sons during their grandfather’s burial ceremony.
Two years ago, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle exited the royal family, explaining to their fans in a lengthy statement that they were no longer part of the senior royal members.
After the couple moved to the US, their permanent base, they granted a tell-all interview with America’s talk show first lady, Oprah Winfrey, revealing their experiences with the royals.
Surprisingly, the couple is yet to slow down in pumping out more details, and they have unapologetically accepted interviews and crafted projects, including a documentary and publications.
A yet-to-release work, Prince Harry’s book, “Spare,” spares a great deal of information—still about his experience in the royal palace.

A Disclosed Extract from Prince Harry’s Book Suggests King Charles Appealed to Him
According to a leaked passage from Prince Harry’s book shared with “The Guardian” newspaper, the Duke met with his father and brother following Prince Philip’s death in April 2021.
At the meeting, King Charles was standing in the middle, looking at his sons, and in Prince Harry’s words, his father blurted, “please boys, don’t make my final years a misery.”
The Duke of Sussex Values His Father
It is uncertain if the Duke considered his father’s request, as that was the only detail leaked from his tell-all book. However, in the past, he has praised his father for being present and giving good advice. Prince Harry and William, who lost their mother, Princess Diana, in 1997, were left in the care of their father, who rose to the occasion. He shared:
“One of the hardest things for a parent to have to do is to tell your children that your other parent has died… But, you know, he was there for us. He was the one of the two left.”
Despite claiming his father was present in a time of need, in his tell-all interview with Winfrey, Prince Harry boldly expressed that he felt disappointed in the King who cut him off financially and stopped taking his calls when he revealed the decision to step down as a senior royal.
