Since the tragic incident in Minnesota that left Renee Nicole Good dead, many people have called for accountability for ICE agent Jonathan Ross. However, it now appears that any legal consequences may be a long way off. Recent reporting from the Daily Mail claims that Ross has gone into hiding and that a group of federal agents went to his Minneapolis home to assist him. According to that account, about half a dozen agents entered the house one by one and carried out personal items, including large plastic crates, a computer tower, and several picture frames, before helping Ross leave the area. After securing his belongings, the agents reportedly helped Ross himself to escape.
Afterward, the agents outside the Minnesota residence returned to their vehicles and formed a defensive formation around a car as it exited the home’s garage. It’s widely assumed that Ross himself or possibly members of his family were inside the vehicle. Before the convoy drove off, one of the agents approached Daily Mail staff on the scene and asked, “How much money are you making?” Agents also filmed the outlet’s photojournalist during the encounter.
Neighbors later said they had not seen anyone at the house and claimed that Ross is a “hardcore MAGA supporter” who had been flying pro-Trump flags until very recently.
Following these revelations, outrage quickly spread over Ross fleeing his home. A TikTok user who shared the footage said the situation strongly suggested Ross had been placed into protective custody. He also pointed out a major inconsistency: officials Kristi Noem and JD Vance had previously claimed that Ross was recovering in the hospital. If the agent was truly injured to the extent they described, the user asked, how was he able to flee his home at the very same time he was supposedly hospitalized?
People Reacting to Federal Agents Helping Ross Flee His Minnesota Home
It’s safe to say that people were absolutely furious after learning that Ross fled his Minnesota home with the help of federal agents. Under a viral Instagram post sharing the news, one person questioned the move bluntly, writing, “I thought innocent people don’t flee tho?” Others expressed outright rage, with one commenter saying, “Let them never know peace,” while another warned ominously, “We’ll find him.”
Some users took Ross’s departure as a sign of guilt. “This should be taken as an admission of guilt?! Why are masked people helping him move if he didn’t do anything wrong?” one person asked. Another commenter added, “Gunna have to wear a mask his entire life. Sorry this wasn’t the America you were hoping to enjoy. Now you live in fear just like the lives and families you destroyed.”
More people expressed their frustration after news spread about the Minneapolis shooting and subsequent developments surrounding ICE agent Jonathan Ross. Many commenters argued that any agents who assisted Ross should be held accountable, with one person writing, “So all of the ICE agents who helped him disappear can be charged with obstruction of justice.” Other responses devolved into speculation and anger, with some users even discussing how they might use technology to track him down.
Numerous people also challenged claims made by public figures, especially regarding Ross’s condition. Critics pointed to earlier statements by Vice President JD Vance and others suggesting Ross was hospitalized following the shooting, prompting users to ask, “Is JD going to retract that he said he was in the hospital in critical condition?” Another commenter replied, “No, because he’s a fascist liar.”
Across social media, there was a broader sense of outrage over how the situation has unfolded, including questions about accountability and transparency from officials as investigations continue.
