When Sony announced they would be bringing games from the massive library of the PlayStation 2 to their flagship PlayStation 4, fans got excited at the thought of revisiting some of their favorites. Although it cannot be expected to have the entire catalog available immediately, one would think Sony would be eager to port a fair sized selection from the PS2.
As of now, here the complete list of PS2 games on the North American and European PSN Store:
- Arc the Lad: Twilight of the Spirits
- Dark Cloud
- Fantavision
- Grand Theft Auto III
- Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas
- Grand Theft Auto: Vice City
- PaRappa The Rapper 2
- Rogue Galaxy
- The Mark of Kri
- Twisted Metal Black
- War of the Monsters
The Grand Theft Auto trilogy is currently only playable for the PS3 in Europe, although they will run perfectly fine on American PS4s. In addition, the following games are only available on the European PSN Store:
- Star Wars: Bounty Hunter
- Star Wars: Jedi Starfighter
- Star Wars: Racer Revenge
The following titles will be emulated to the PS4 sometime this year:
- Psychonauts
- Ape Escape 2
- Ape Escape 3
- Dark Cloud 2
- Wild Arms 3
- Siren
- Okage: Shadow King
- Primal
- King of Fighters 2000
- Max Payne
