Another game, another delay. On Friday, Bloober Team announced that their dual-reality, psychological horror game, The Medium, is being delayed until January 2021.
Bloober Team announced the delay in a very brief press release, “It wasn’t an easy choice to make, but one made due to the Covid-19 situation in Poland, as well as the current schedule of other games on the market. Bloober Team remains committed to delivering our biggest, most ambitious, fear-inducing experience to date.”
Bloober Team has promised that the extra time will allow them more time to polish The Medium in order to deliver the most horrific experience possible. “Rest assured, the delay will not stop us sharing information with you, and you can expect us to unravel a few more layers of The Medium’s great mystery soon. Stay tuned and stay safe.”
While the news of The Medium’s delay didn’t name names, one can only assume that “the current schedule of other games on the market” refers to Cyberpunk 2077. Originally set to release on November 19th, 2020, Cyberpunk 2077 has been delayed until December 10th… which was the day The Medium was set to release.
As of this writing, The Medium looks forward to haunting players on January 28th, 2021, on Xbox Series X and PC. Pre-orders are available now for both, and Steam is offering a discounted price.
