Some fights can be entertaining, and others are simply insane. A lot of crazy fights usually take place in New York and you are always surprised by what you see. A video filmed on a street there showed a group of thugs facing each other. It seemed that two men were confronting an entire group right there in the street. Of course, innocent people tried to walk away from the fight and avoid heading there. As people were filming what was happening, you see that the two guys have an advantage. They might be facing a group, but the two of them had machetes in their hands. I certainly wouldn’t feel confident that I would win a fight if my opponent were crazy enough to have a machete on him.
You can see that the group of thugs is hesitating to go forward and attack the two New York men. You can understand where they are coming from, especially since their opponents are waving their weapons as if they were nothing. One of the group members attempts to hit one of the guys with a chair, but the attack isn’t exactly successful. There was also someone who had a tall wooden stick as a weapon, but he didn’t manage to stop the fight. You anxiously watch the rest of the video, not knowing if someone will be harmed or not. The two sides only separate when a car starts driving toward them. It’s only then that the duo decides to walk away. They, however, still have the machetes in their hands and keep looking behind them to make sure that no one from the group is following them.
People Reacting to the New York Men and Their Machetes
Everyone from New York who saw the video was rightfully panicking that such a fight was taking place in the streets. How would anyone feel safe when they see how easy it is for someone to carry around a machete? There was one person who was more upset about the fact that the police didn’t show up. “We need better police response times. We need better police,” they wrote. Someone else believed that all of those guys should be arrested, as they said, “These people need to be locked up.” Unfortunately, such fights are dangerous to anyone who is passing by, and that was enough to make one parent worry. “Oh nice, was just over there on a walk with my baby around the same time. So sick of this shit,” they wrote. I would be terrified of walking there again.
There was also one Redditor who wondered why an entire group was going against two guys. “Looks like two kids defending themselves against a group. Smfh, not saying they didn’t have a right to defend themselves but what cause the group to get angry and why do they have those weapons in the first place? This is why watching your kids is important. I wish these middle schoolers would stop acting tough, they’d piss their pants in a place like the Bronx or Bushwick,” they wrote.
As one person said, the difference in numbers doesn’t mean that it is okay for them to walk around waving weapons. For some crazy reason, some people thought of blaming democrats for this.
